Offered is this Exceptional Show Quality 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6 Convertible Recreation. A complete Frame Off Restoration was completed in Oct. 2007. Every nut and bolt was replaced or restored. This car is a rare Shadow Gray with Black Bucket Seat interior. This car looks great, runs great and drives absolutely wonderful. On a scale of 1-10 the paint condition is a 9.5 with a few blemishes only a trained eye can spot. Mechanically everything functions as the factory intended.

Engine:

It has a correct #3963512 454ci/450hp block that is date coded H19 70 (August 19, 1970). The heads are the correct #3964291. The intake is the correct low rise #3963569. The carburetor is a new Holley replacement double pumper List #4779-9. The engine is built to 1970 factory specifications and is over 500hp.

Cowl Induction is fully functional.

All new and correct radiator hoses, ribbed heater hoses and tower clamps.

Transmission:

Correct Muncie M22 Rock Crusher with all new gears. Main case stamped P9S13C which decodes as follows:

• P = Muncie
• 9 = 1969
• S = November
• 13 = 13th day
• C = M22

The shifter is a new Hurst Competition Plus, which makes grabbing the gears much more reliable over the stock Muncie shifters.

Exhaust:

This fire breathing beast breaths through a 2.5" FlowMaster Exhaust System that connects to the period original stock exhaust manifolds.

Rear End:

All this power is transmitted to the pavement through a 12 bolt rear end with a new Eaton Positraction unit and new 3.73:1 gears.

Suspension:

All new correct front and rear suspension with correct front and rear sway bars and new performance shocks.

New power steering unit and belts.

Brakes:

All new power front disc and rear drum brakes, brake lines and hoses.

Interior:

The correct bucket seat interior is finished in the correct black vinyl and a console. The foam is all new and the seats sit very comfortable. The dash has been fully restored and all the gauges are functional. New aftermarket Oil Pressure and Water Temperature Gauges were installed.

All new front and rear carpet with new floor mats.

All new door panels, kick panels, rear side panels, sunvisors complete the interior.

The radio is an original 1970 AM/FM Stereo & Conversion with 4X45 Watts per Channel Output. The conversion was completed by Vintage Auto Radio in Waterford, WI.

Convertible Top: 

The convertible top is new as is all the componets and the boot.

Glass:

The glass is all tinted and is in excellent condition with some very minor scratching in the drivers side front.

Wheels & Tires:

This Muscle Car is equipped with five (5) period correct New Firestone F70-14 Wide Oval Raised White Lettered Tires and New 14X6 SS Rims.

Undercarriage:

The undercarriage is spotless and rust free.
